Last updated: 10 September 2026

Welcome to AWESEL. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the AWESEL website and purchases made through our online store.

By using this website or placing an order with AWESEL, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our other applicable policies, including our Privacy Policy, Shipping Information and Returns & Refunds policy.

These Terms & Conditions are subject to applicable South African law and do not limit any rights that consumers may have under applicable consumer-protection legislation.

1. About AWESEL

AWESEL is an online retail store offering practical products and everyday essentials to customers in South Africa.

Information about AWESEL, including our contact details and other legally required business information, should be available through our website.

2. Using Our Website

You agree to use the AWESEL website lawfully and responsibly.

You must not:

  • Use the website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or its systems
  • Interfere with the operation or security of the website
  • Copy, reproduce or misuse website content without permission
  • Submit information that is intentionally false, misleading or fraudulent

We may restrict or suspend access to the website where reasonably necessary to protect the website, our customers or our business.

3. Products and Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, images, specifications and prices displayed on the website are accurate and up to date.

However:

  • Product colours may vary slightly depending on your device or display.
  • Packaging or minor product details may change from those shown in photographs.
  • Product availability may change without notice.
  • Measurements and specifications may have reasonable manufacturing or supplier variations.

Where a material error is discovered in a product description or price, we may contact you to clarify the correct information before fulfilling the order.

4. Product Availability

All products are subject to availability.

If a product becomes unavailable after an order has been placed, we will contact you and explain the available options.

Where applicable law requires a refund because an order cannot be fulfilled, the relevant amount will be refunded in accordance with applicable law.

5. Prices

All product prices displayed on the AWESEL website are in South African Rand (ZAR).

The applicable product price and delivery charges will be displayed before you complete your purchase.

We reserve the right to change product prices from time to time. Price changes will not affect an order that has already been accepted and paid for, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

6. Placing an Order

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products.

After placing your order, you should receive an electronic acknowledgement or confirmation.

An order may be subject to verification of payment, stock availability, delivery information and other reasonable checks.

We reserve the right to cancel an order where there is a genuine error, suspected fraud, inability to fulfil the order, or another lawful reason. Where payment has already been received and the order cannot be fulfilled, applicable refunds will be processed in accordance with the law.

7. Payment

Orders must be paid using one of the payment methods made available through the AWESEL checkout.

Payment must be successfully received before an order is processed for fulfilment.

Payment information may be processed by third-party payment providers. AWESEL does not need to store your complete payment-card details when payment is processed directly by an applicable payment provider.

8. Delivery

AWESEL delivers orders within South Africa using available courier and/or pickup-point services.

Delivery charges and available options are displayed at checkout and may depend on your delivery address, order size, products and available delivery service.

Estimated delivery times are provided where available but may be affected by courier operations, public holidays, weather, peak periods, remote locations and circumstances outside our reasonable control.

You are responsible for providing accurate delivery information.

For more information, please see our Shipping Information page.

9. Risk and Delivery

We will take reasonable steps to ensure that orders are properly prepared and handed to the selected delivery service.

Where applicable consumer law determines when risk passes to the consumer, AWESEL will comply with those requirements.

If an order is lost, damaged or incorrectly delivered, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can investigate and assist you.

10. Returns, Refunds and Consumer Rights

AWESEL respects applicable consumer rights under South African law.

Our Returns & Refunds policy explains how to report defective, damaged, incorrect or incomplete orders and how applicable returns and refunds are handled.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or waive a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or waived.

South Africa's Consumer Protection Act provides statutory protections concerning product quality and certain returns, including protections relating to defective goods.

For online transactions, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act may also provide specific consumer protections and information requirements.

11. Promotions and Discounts

Promotions, discounts and special offers may be subject to additional terms.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Promotional offers are subject to product availability.
  • Promotions may have specified start and end dates.
  • Different promotions may not necessarily be combined.
  • A promotion may have specific eligibility requirements.

The terms applicable to a particular promotion will be displayed with that promotion.

12. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, content appearing on the AWESEL website, including text, graphics, logos, website design and other original materials, is owned by or licensed to AWESEL and may not be reproduced or used without permission.

Product names, trademarks and other intellectual property belonging to third parties remain the property of their respective owners.

13. Third-Party Services

AWESEL may use third-party services to provide functions such as payment processing, delivery, analytics, website functionality and customer communications.

Your use of a third-party service may also be subject to that provider's own terms and policies.

14. Website Availability

We aim to keep the AWESEL website available and functioning properly.

However, we cannot guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or free from technical problems.

Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, technical issues, service-provider outages or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

15. Links to Third-Party Websites

The AWESEL website may contain links to third-party websites or services.

These links are provided for convenience. AWESEL is not responsible for the content, availability, security or privacy practices of third-party websites.

16. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.

Subject to applicable law, AWESEL will not be responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including certain courier delays, network failures, third-party service interruptions or events beyond our reasonable control.

Nothing in this section limits a consumer's rights under applicable South African consumer-protection legislation.

17. Privacy

Your use of the AWESEL website is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and protect personal information.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our business, services, website or applicable legal requirements.

The latest version will be published on this page with the applicable update date.

19. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Any dispute will be handled in accordance with applicable South African law and the consumer's applicable statutory rights.
